Her hair was pulled back in a bun as she approached the truck wearing an expression that was an attempt at coolness. I knew better, though. Those dark brown eyes and the flushed skin on her neck gave her away.

“Hungry?” I asked, opening the passenger side door for her. Her cheeks pinked as she nodded and stepped in.

Everyone on this job site could see us leaving together. My guys were probably making lewd comments from the tables they sat at near the trailer for lunch break. I didn’t care. Sound judgment eluded me when it came to Palmer. That was why I had to get the hell away from here as soon as this job was done.

But for now, fuck it. I was like a junkie on my way to get high. My whole body buzzed with sexual energy and my cock strained against my jeans, making me shift in my seat.

“Is it different when other women give you … oral sex?” Palmer asked. “Are they better at it than I was?”

Her earnest expression made me want to reach over and reassure her with a touch. But I kept my hands on the wheel.

“It’s tough to explain,” I said.

“It’s okay, you can tell me. I’m sure experience is a good thing in that department.”

Here was a chance to get a small dig in on her – to give back a tiny dose of the hurt she’d inflicted on me. But I couldn’t lie.

She pressed a hand to her thigh and squeezed it, looking straight ahead at the road. “Just listening to you talk makes me so … We never used to talk about sex.”

I couldn’t help grinning. “That’s true. We talked about when we were gonna do it, but never about sex itself.”

“Where are we going?”

“To a lot I own close by.”

“A vacant lot?” Palmer turned to me, eyes wide with alarm.

“It’s more than a lot. It’s several dozen acres of wooded area. I bought it from my dad’s company when I started mine. It’s very private.”

In an effort to relax her, I turned on some music. She looked nervous, though I had no idea why. Palmer didn’t even have to try to turn me on. Just being in her presence got me going.

I turned onto a dirt road that led into the woods, parking in front of a metal gate that blocked the path. The key to unlock it was in my glove box, and Palmer’s eyes swam over me as I leaned over to get the keychain.

She looked so pretty and so ready that I couldn’t help myself. I bent to her lap and pressed a kiss to her bare thigh, just below her skirt.
